This module covers how to add a new route to an existing booking in OpsDriver. This feature is useful for scenarios where a trip includes multiple movements—like a wedding that has both a bridal party and guest shuttle.
Use additional routes to:
Handle multi-part trips within one booking (e.g., separate shuttles for groups)
Keep related movements grouped while maintaining distinct route details
Assign vehicles and drivers independently for each route
Open the Existing Booking
Navigate to the Bookings section and click into the booking you’d like to update.
Create a New Route
Inside the booking, click Create New Route.
You will be directed to a blank route screen.
Name and Save the Route
Example: “Bridal Party Transfer”
Click Save to create the route.
Build Out Route Segments
Click Edit Segments.
Input trip details such as:
Date (e.g., June 8th)
Departure time (e.g., 1:00 PM)
One-way or round trip selection
Click Save.
Add unique pickup instructions or notes specific to this new route.
These details remain separate from the main route.
Assign a vehicle to the new route just like a primary route.
You may assign multiple vehicles if needed.
Add pre-configured add-ons such as water, Wi-Fi, or custom branding to this specific route.
Once the route is added, it will appear under the booking summary.
All routes (original and new) can be viewed and edited independently.
A dispatch summary will show all vehicle and driver assignments.
Navigate to the Dispatch Report to see each movement clearly separated.
Helps identify and manage routing, driver instructions, and vehicle scheduling efficiently.
The customer’s documents will reflect:
The primary route
The added route (e.g., “Bridal Party Transfer”)
Vehicle and pricing breakdowns for each
The Financial Section updates automatically with:
Combined booking totals
Outstanding balance status
Use clear route naming (e.g., “Guest Shuttle,” “Bridal Party Transfer”) for easy identification.
Double-check itinerary times and instructions for each route.
Review pricing and vehicle assignments before finalizing.
