Overview
This module covers how to insert a stop within an existing trip segment using the inline add-stop feature. This enhancement saves time and improves accuracy by placing stops exactly where they belong—without needing manual reordering.
Use inline stop insertion to:
Modify existing trips in response to mid-planning updates
Add spontaneous or requested detours (e.g., adding a sightseeing stop)
Maintain the correct sequence of stops without manual rearrangement
Use Case:
A high school group is headed to Six Flags, but calls to request a stop at the Basketball Hall of Fame before arrival.
Previously, users had to:
Click “Add a Stop”
Have the stop appear at the bottom
Manually move the stop into the correct order using arrows
Now, users can insert a stop exactly where they want using a plus icon between stops.
Navigate to the booking and open the Trip Segment Editor.
Locate the plus (+) icon between any two existing stops.
Click the plus (+) to insert a new stop between those two points.
Type the name of the new stop (e.g., Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield).
Set the arrival/departure times.
Click Save.
The stop is now correctly placed in the itinerary with automatically calculated times.
