Addons- Price Types, Add-on Types, and Hide From Customer View
The following list outlines the Price Types for addons and how they are calculated-
Price Type selection drop down when adding or editing an add-on. All Vehicles/Addons % - Fee charged as a percentage of the sum of all assigned vehicles and included addons in the associated trip.
- Per Day (Flat) - Fee charged as a flat fee, times the number of days on the associated trip.
- Per Day Per Vehicle Flat - Fee charged as a flat fee times the number of days on the trip, times the number of vehicles.
- Per Hour - Fee charged times the total live and dead hours of the associated trip.
- Per Hour Per Vehicle - Fee charged times the total live and dead hours of the associated trip.
- Per Live Hour - per live hour of the associated trip.
- Per Live Hour Per Vehicle - Fee times the total LIVE hours of all vehicles for the associated trip.
- Per Live Mile Per Vehicle - fee times the total LIVE vehicle milage of all vehicles for the associated trip.
- Per Mile Per Vehicle - Fee times the total vehicle milage for the associated trip.
- Per Passenger - Fee times the total passenger count for the associated trip.
- Per Vehicle Flat fee - a flat fee charged for all of the vehicles associated with the trip.
- Quantity Only - User (internal or customer) adding the add on dictates the quantity of the add on calculated against the cost of the add on when setup up (water bottles etc).
- Single Use % - Percentage of the total cost of the vehicles in the associated trip.
- Single Use Flat Fee - A flat fee associated once with the associated trip.
- User Defined % - User (internal or external) dictates the percentage of this add on when adding.
- User Defined Flat Fee - a single charge flat fee associated with a single trip.
- User Defined Per Vehicle Flat Fee - user dictates the fee, then times the number of vehicles.
- Yes/No % - If yes, add on is % (ie: "are you a wedding party"- If Yes: charge a 10% cleaning deposit).
- Yes/No flat fee - If yes, add on is the flat fee (ie: are you a wedding party- If Yes: charge a $200 cleaning deposit).
Add-on Types
The following outlines what each of the Add-On Types are and how it impacts the customers online booking experience.
Booking Widget Add-on and Extras Step where customers can see/choose their included add-ons - Customer Can Select during the booking process- A customer will see this on the above screen and can choose to click the include button or add a quantity to the line. (Example: VIP service above)
- Included by default but customer can change or opt out- Customer can choose to unselect the fee or change the input perimeters but it starts as included (Example: Driver Gratuity above)
- Included by default and required: A customer will see it as a line item which they can not change or remove. (Example: Fuel Surcharge above)
Hide From Customer View-
Hide from customer view selection toggle The hide from customer view toggle is designed to hide an add-on from the customers experience on the booking widget. This was designed for addons that you may want to add during the quote or booking process that you would not want customers to need to pick during an online expereince- This may include things such as parking fees, driver relief, and other items that the customer may not know how or when to enter.
