This module explains how to use the Pricing Calendar in OpsDriver to set demand-based pricing, manage vehicle availability, and apply pricing templates efficiently. The Pricing Calendar directly influences what customers see in the booking widget without manual intervention.
Go to Sales > Pricing Calendar > Calendar
View pricing and availability for each date, per vehicle type
Click Create New Markup Event
Select the date (e.g., June 4)
Choose a color (optional)
Add a description
Click Save
Select vehicle types (one or multiple via Ctrl/Command+click)
Save again
This sets up your custom pricing markup event for that day and selected vehicles.
Use the Markup % field to increase or decrease prices from base rate
Example: +10% for peak days, -10% for slow days
Just click the % box, enter the value, and hit enter
Open the event, find the vehicle type row
Check the box for:
Sold Out: Prevents booking of that vehicle on selected date
Limited Availability: Notifies the customer, but does not block booking
These changes update the booking widget in real time to show a “Sold Out” badge or a “Limited Availability” message.
Use the Copy function to apply the same pricing to:
A single date
A date range
A list of specific dates
This saves time when applying the same rules across multiple busy days.
If multiple markup events overlap:
OpsDriver uses the most recently created event per vehicle type
Best practice: avoid multiple overlapping events—delete or edit existing ones
Go to Sales > Pricing Calendar > Templates
Templates allow you to predefine:
Vehicle groupings
Demand-based pricing
Availability rules
Use the template to add pricing to:
A single date
A date range (with specific days of the week)
A custom list of dates
Select one or more existing events
Click Edit Selected Events
Choose a new template to apply
Confirm and replace the old events
Two delete options:
Date Range Delete: Removes all events in a range (use carefully!)
Delete Selected Events: Manually choose which events to remove
Marking spring weekends as peak pricing
Blocking out vehicles that are overbooked or under maintenance
Highlighting low-demand periods with discounted pricing
Directing customers away from busy days by marking sold out or limited
Keep markup % consistent across vehicle types for similar days
Use colors and descriptions to organize your calendar visually
Leverage templates to speed up seasonal or recurring setup
Check for overlapping events before creating new ones
