This module explains how to use the TourDriver feature in OpsDriver to create a Tour Grouping and build a custom itinerary. Tour groupings help you organize recurring or themed trips (like ski or holiday tours), while itineraries define the day-to-day agenda and operations.
Navigate to the TourDriver section
Click Create a New Tour
You’ll be prompted to:
Choose a Tour Category (e.g., “Ski Trips”, “Holiday Lights”, “City Tours”)
Assign a Salesperson
Add a Tour Description
Example: “Bear Mountain Tour – Skiing trips to Bear Mountain Resort”
Click Save to create the tour grouping
Once the tour group is created, you need to build the itinerary:
Scroll to the Tour Itineraries section
Click Add an Itinerary
This launches the itinerary builder, where you’ll define:
Each day of the tour
Stops, activities, and timing
Pickup/drop-off locations
Optional add-ons or services
Tour groupings are helpful when:
You offer the same tour on multiple dates
You want to manage inventory, pricing, and messaging together
You want to streamline the sales and dispatch process across similar trips
Each grouping can hold multiple itineraries and individual departures.
You could create:
A “Ski Trips” category
A “Bear Mountain Tour” grouping
Multiple itineraries for different weekends in January and February
Each itinerary could:
Use a different bus
Have different pricing
Include optional add-ons like gear rental or lunch packages
Name tour groups clearly with a location and theme
Keep itineraries simple and standardized when offering recurring trips
Reuse itineraries for efficiency across multiple dates
Use categories to organize tours by season, audience, or activity type
