Upgrade types allow you to add upgrades to your tour ittinaries. This video will show you how to set them up. s allow you to organize your tours into groups that make managing them easier. This video will show you how to create these categories.
Overview
This module explains how to set up Tour Upgrade Types—add-ons that provide customers with enhanced tour experiences such as VIP service, bonus play, or meal packages. These upgrades are selectable during booking and applied to specific tours.
1. Where to Access Upgrade Types
Steps:

Go to the TourDriver module
-
Click on Upgrade Types under the Tours header
You will see a list of all previously created upgrades such as:

Gold Package
-
Dining Upgrade
-
Slot Play
-
Seafood Buffet
2. Creating a New Upgrade Type
To add a new upgrade:

Click Add Upgrade Type
-
Enter a Description (e.g., “VIP Front Row Seating”)

Click Save
This will make the upgrade available to apply within any tour itinerary.
3. When to Use Tour Upgrades
Tour Upgrades are ideal for:

Offering value-added experiences

Customizing tiered pricing (e.g., Basic vs. Premium)

Enhancing revenue per passenger
Example use cases:

4. Adding Upgrades to a Tour Itinerary
Steps:

Open a Tour Itinerary

Scroll to the Upgrades section

Select which upgrade types you want to apply

Set pricing and availability per upgrade
Now when a customer books this tour, they will see these upgrade options during checkout.
5. Customer Experience
Customers will be able to:

View upgrade descriptions

Choose upgrades at booking
-
See pricing for each upgrade line item in their quote or ticket
This makes it easy to personalize their experience while increasing total ticket value.
