Edit Stops Modal Auto Calculations Explained

TBN's edit stop modal is designed to help you build trips and calculate the times and miles in order to provide prices to you and your customers. Understanding how it works and how it can be manipulated will help you be more effective in building trips. The picture below shows the fields of a fictitious trip highlighted to show you what will auto calculate if manipulated (shown in Green) and what will not (shown in red) .

Important things to know about Automatic Calculations -

  1. Driver Start Time- Driver Start time is automatically calculated using the DRIVER START TIME ADJUSTMENT field in the account settings page under the Basic OpsDriver Settings Section. Seen below. This is the time that is added by the system BEFORE the departure yard, departure time.

  2. Driver End Time- Driver End Time is calculated using the DRIVER END TIME ADJUSTMENT field in the account settings page under the Basic OpsDriver Settings Section. Seen below. This is the time that is added by the system AFTER the return yard, est. arrival time.

  3. Disable Auto Calculations: There May be times that you need to manually input information into green (auto calculation) fields that overrides the times that are being calculated- You can do this by clicking the DISABLE AUTO CALCULATIONS? check box at the top of the edit stops modal.
WARNING- DISABLE AUTO CALCULATIONS will stop ALL auto calculations which includes miles and hours for any edits that you make to stops, when adding or refining itinerary items, and will allow you to manually override all fields without any auto calculations or pricing adjustment.
