This module explains how to configure location-based pricing using calendar templates. This allows you to apply unique pricing rules depending on which yard a vehicle is dispatched from, giving you the flexibility to account for regional demand, costs, or market differences.
If you operate:
One yard in Stratford with specific pricing
Another yard in a different town with different pricing
You need a way to assign pricing templates that reflect those differences.
Navigate to Sales > Pricing Calendar > Templates
Click Create New Template
Let’s say you’re creating pricing specifically for the Stratford yard.
Click Create New Template
Name your template clearly (e.g., “Stratford-Based Pricing”)
Choose a template color to visually differentiate it on the calendar (e.g., light purple)
Set your pricing logic in the template:
Define which vehicle types this pricing applies to
Set:
Hourly minimums
Mileage rates
Daily rates
Markups if applicable
You are essentially overriding the default vehicle type pricing with a version specific to this yard.
After creating the template:
Go to the Pricing Calendar
Select the target dates
Apply the Stratford-Based Pricing template only to the days that Stratford vehicles will be in use
This ensures customers requesting trips from Stratford will see pricing tailored to that location.
When a quote is submitted through the widget:
The system looks for the yard associated with the vehicle
Then applies the correct pricing template based on the calendar
This allows you to use the same vehicle type (e.g., 56-passenger coach) with different prices depending on where it’s dispatched from.
Use clear naming for templates based on yard or region (e.g., “NY Metro Pricing”, “Chicago Local Rates”)
Apply templates only on the days when that yard’s vehicles are expected to be active
Periodically review your calendar to ensure pricing reflects current operational costs
