Using the Driver Portal

Overview

This module provides a walkthrough of the Driver Portal, which allows drivers to view assignments, accept or decline trips, access work tickets, receive company messages, and manage personal profile information—all from their mobile device or desktop.

1. Logging In to the Driver Portal

Each company has a unique Driver Portal URL (e.g., driverportal.dbndrives.com).

Steps to Log In:

  1. Open your company’s driver portal link on your phone or browser.

  2. Enter your email address and password.

  3. Click Sign In.

You’ll be taken to the main dashboard view, starting with the Calendar.

2. Calendar View – Trip Assignment Overview

Calendar Legend:

  • Yellow Dot: Trips are assigned but not yet accepted.

  • Green Dot: All assigned trips for that day have been accepted.

Clicking on a Date:

  • Reveals trips assigned for that day.

  • Displays:

    • Booking ID

    • Customer Name

    • Yard Location

    • Start and End Times

3. Trip Details and Actions

Click on a specific trip to open detailed trip info:

  • Vehicle Type and Number

  • Accept Assignment button

  • Check In button (to mark when you begin the trip)

  • Itinerary Overview:

    • Pickup and drop-off times

    • Stop details

If other drivers are assigned to the same trip (e.g., multi-vehicle move), their names will also be shown.

4. Viewing the Work Ticket

From the trip screen, click View Work Ticket:

  • Generates a PDF of the work order

  • Displays:

    • Full itinerary

    • Special instructions

    • Booking and assignment details

You can access this document anytime directly from your phone.

5. Messages Section

How It Works:

  • The Messages tab is used for company-wide or trip-specific announcements.

  • You’ll see:

    • Notification title (e.g., “Emergency Evacuation Services”)

    • Timestamp of when it was received

    • Full message content

This is how the admin team can quickly send you updates.

6. Profile Section

Your personal Profile tab contains:

  • Employment Information

  • Licensing and Certification Details

    • CDL info

    • DOT cards

    • Passports or other credentials

Drivers should use this area to keep their compliance info current.

Best Practices

  • Log in daily to check for new assignments or messages.

  • Always accept or check in on trips to keep dispatch informed.

  • Use the PDF work ticket for reference during each assignment.

  • Keep your profile information up to date for compliance tracking.
