Transfer Builder

Transfer Builder

Using the Transfer Builder

The Transfer Builder is designed to speed up round-trip work like airport transfers, where the same customer needs an outbound ride and a return ride days or weeks apart. Instead of building two separate quotes from scratch, the Transfer Builder takes your outbound trip and generates the inverted return leg automatically.

This article walks through:

  • When to use the Transfer Builder
  • How to build the outbound trip
  • How to generate and finalize the return leg

When to Use the Transfer Builder

Use the Transfer Builder any time a customer needs a paired outbound and return trip — most commonly an airport drop-off followed by a pickup later in the week or month. The tool will mirror your stops, let you adjust the return date and time, and generate both legs as linked quotes.

Step 1: Build the Outbound Trip

Build your outbound trip the way you normally would:

  1. Enter your pickup and drop-off stops (for example, Poughkeepsie to LaGuardia Airport).
  2. Scroll down and assign your bus to the trip.

Once your stops and vehicle are in place, you're ready to launch the Transfer Builder.

Step 2: Launch the Transfer Builder

  1. Click the Transfer Builder button located underneath your stops.
  2. Add any additional notes for the trip if needed.
  3. Confirm your stops on the first screen — this is your outbound leg (for example, Poughkeepsie → LaGuardia).
  4. Click Next.

Step 3: Configure the Return Leg

On the next screen, the Transfer Builder inverts your stops automatically — the drop-off becomes the new pickup, and the pickup becomes the new drop-off (for example, LaGuardia → Poughkeepsie).

In this pop-up modal you can:

  • Adjust the departure date and time for the return trip — for example, a week after the outbound.
  • All related times will update to match the new schedule.
  • Make any other edits the return leg requires.

Click Save when you're done.

Step 4: Confirm Vehicle, Pricing, and Add-Ons

After saving, click Next Step. The Transfer Builder will ask you to confirm:

  • Is it the same vehicle on both legs?
  • Is the price the same on each way?

You'll see your pricing breakdown and itinerary side-by-side for both the outbound (transfers to) and the return (transfers from). If you need to add or adjust any add-ons, you can do that here for either leg.

Step 5: Finalize the Quote

Click Finalize Quote. The Transfer Builder will generate the second leg of the trip and link it to the first:

  • Your outbound quote appears as dash 1.
  • Your inbound quote appears as dash 2.

Both legs are now finalized and tied together as a single transfer.
